The village of Breda is part of the sub-district of Baix Montseny, within the county of La Selva, nestled between the mountain ranges of the Montseny and the Montnegre.
The village is located on the Breda Plain between the seasonal rivers of Breda (to the west) and Repiaix (to the east), at an altitude of 169 m above sea level. With a population of nearly 3,700 inhabitants, the village covers an area of 5.02 square kilometres.
